What is Support Coordination?
A NDIS Support Coordinator will support you to understand and implement the funded supports in your NDIS plan and link you to the community, mainstream and other government services. Support Coordinator
Barbara started at THC in 2011 as a Social Educator, working closely with participants living in support independent living. Barbara is originally from Brazil, where she completed a bachelor’s degree of Social Work. In Brazil, Barbara worked with people with disabilities and with people living in impoverished communities.
Barbara came to Australia in 2007 and following her passion for social inclusion and social justice, Barbara completed her master’s degree of Social Work at Sydney University. Barbara has 15 years of experience working with people with disabilities, and 3 years of experience as a Support Coordinator.
Barbara loves dogs and spending time with her family at the beach. Barbara loves supporting people to achieve their goals and independence.
NDIS & Support Coordination Lead
Inna commenced her career journey at THC as a Social Work student on a university placement in 2001 and never left. Inna completed Bachelor of Social Work at Sydney University. Inna’s role at THC has evolved and expanded as THC has grown over the years. Inna has gained deep knowledge in the areas of disability, mental health and the NDIS by supporting people with disabilities for 20 years at THC. Inna speaks Korean and English.
Support Coordinator
Joo is qualified in Certificate IV in Disability, Certificate IV in Home and Community Care plus a Bachelor of Music at Seoul National University, Korea. After a long career in the music industry, Joo found her new passion in disability support and has been working in community care and disability since 2013. Through intense work and research, she quickly gained knowledge and experience in helping and understanding people with many types of disabilities. Joo strives to help her participants to achieve their goals with her strong empathy and attention to detail.
Joo loves bushwalking and learning the names of Australian plants. She loves to play the piano to her music-loving cats.
