The Swans Group

Our Swans Group is an inclusive disability social group of devoted fans of the AFL who enjoy watching games together. The Sydney Swans are an Australian Football Club based in Sydney. The club competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport’s premier league. The Swans Group have its 8 regular attendees & several other guests that like to tag along from time to time. We would usually attend about 11 home games a year, at the home grounds and two at the SCG.

When we’re not at the SCG, we go to many different venues to watch away games, all over Sydney, from people’s individual houses to the White Cockatoo, Willoughby Hotel, Sydney Park Hotel, and The Chelsea. If people can’t attend then we try and get others like our guests to use these tickets so that the seats don’t go unused. Through this group’s joint effort, we executed our annual AFL trip to Adelaide this year! We hope to fly to other states next season to watch more away games.

The Swans Group is led by its members, and everyone has an equal say in decision-making. From our members’ combined effort, team spirit and natural abilities, we have been able to make this group even more exciting every year. We are looking for new faces to join this shared team of true and devoted fans of Australian Football.
